Banks always make sure that they're listed on your insurance policy at the beginning of a loan, so that they are covered in the event of a loss of that property. However, banks never notify your insurance company once a loan has been paid off or when they no longer need to be listed on your insurance policy.
It is always good to remove outdated loan information from your insurance policy. Banks that are listed on insurance documents are to whom the insurance company will issue a check to for damages in the event of a loss. So, we want to make sure your policy is always correct.
If you have a bank showing on your insurance policy for a vehicle loan or a home loan that you no longer have, please let us know so we can remove that bank information from your insurance policy and so we can adjust any policy coverages if necessary.
You may contact our office directly by phone, email, or use this form anytime to notify us.
